Russell died while still serving as a Churchwarden at Saint Martin's, in October 2019.

His wife Helen wanted to have something here at St. Martin's to commemorate him, their years of marriage and the fact that he was our Churchwarden here, so we decided on a memorial stone at the front of the rockery in front of the Church Hall. This was one of the last pieces of work which Russell undertook for us before his health failed him - so it is a very appropriate place for such a memorial. Due to its position, you can't miss seeing it as you approach either the Church or the Hall.

Santas on the Run - goes freestyle!

Riley, Primrose and Bluebell completed their charity walk on Saturday 12th December dressed in their best Christmas/elf clothes! They walked for 3 miles around our beautiful bay.

After a final count of sponsors, they raised £124 for Children's Hospice South West, who care for children with life limiting, or life threatening, conditions. Many at St. Martin's took part in sponsoring them - and we were glad to do so. Hannah - their mother - on the children's behalf, says a big Thank You to everyone who supported them.

The girls also gave in their reverse advent calendar at Sainsbury's and Asda (for the food banks), and then gave their shoe-boxes full of gifts to families affected by domestic violence and an old peoples home. The children also made enough Christmas Cards to give to all the congregation at our services on Advent 4, our Midnight Mass and again on Christmas Morning.

What busy little elves! We congratulate and thank them for their fantastic efforts.

This photo appears in our January Parish Magazine, but being in black and white does not do them justice.

We were unable to hold our usual Christmas Bazaar, so Janet made these to order, with the help of her Sugarcraft teacher, Nikki Smith.
With Janet donating the ingredients, and the recipients making appropriate donations for the cakes, they raised £400 for much-needed Church funds. Numerous appreciative comments have been received from those who have enjoyed eating them over Christmas.

Many thanks and congratulations to Janet for her efforts.
