Remembering Russell Buckingham - January 2021

Dedication of Memorial to Russell Buckingham by Father Gorran after Sunday Mass on Sunday January 17th 2021.

Russell died while still serving as a Churchwarden at Saint Martin's, in October 2019.

His wife Helen wanted to have something here at St. Martin's to commemorate him, their years of marriage and the fact that he was our Churchwarden here, so we decided on a memorial stone at the front of the rockery in front of the Church Hall. This was one of the last pieces of work which Russell undertook for us before his health failed him - so it is a very appropriate place for such a memorial. Due to its position, you can't miss seeing it as you approach either the Church or the Hall.
