Model Railways and other Exhibitions in The Church Hall during the Classic Car Show
We were grateful to Mr. Ken Malin, who not only exhibited his Ford Popular in the car park, but also brought the fantastic aeroplane models and airport scenes which he has created, including the Red Arrows!
Those who remember the days of Devon General buses in Torbay and throughout Devon, and those who travelled on the Royal Blue coaches will have found many models here of vehicles they remember and perhaps rode on.
We would like to have a real bus at one of our future Shows!
Father Anthony Macey, one of our Assistant Priests, adds more to his layout every year.
This "N" gauge layout provided an interesting contrast with the more common "OO" gauge layouts.
Chad brought his Hornby layout to this year's Show for the first time.
Father Gorran, with his own model trains in front of the picture, is shown here with Barbara Salter, who was awarding prizes for the "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" quiz which she had organised.
As can be seen, a good number of people filled our Hall throughout the day.
Our Show is intended as a nostalgic exhibition of old and largely obsolete items, but even we never expected a prehistoric visitor!
We refer - of course - to the Dinosaur, and not to its owner Ken Mallin!
The Dinosaur, operated by some form of battery or remote control, wandered around the Church Hall throughout the day, amusing some people, and terrifying others!
