St. Martin's is holding retiring collections after our Services for the Christian Aid Turkey and Syria Earthquake Appeal.

The situation in Syria is doubly tragic as it is a war zone with many refugees.  As Christian Aid is already working there they are able to get aid to this particularly difficult area.

A Prayer of Remembrance
In the month of November,
the Church remembers all the saints,
and also the souls of all those who have died.
We also remember those who have died in the World Wars of the last century,
and in other conflicts since, including ongoing conflicts in current times.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the assurance that you wish
to gather the whole of creation to yourself.
We pray that those who have died will always be safe with you.
May we be comforted by the hope of our own resurrection,
and of the time when pain, parting and sorrow are forever at an end.
